Ambassador Fujisaki’s Visit to Texas

The Ambassador of Japan to the U.S. and Mrs. Fujisaki visited Houston, College Station and Dallas from Oct 1st to 3rd, and met with members of Japan related organizations and business leaders.

On Oct 1st, the Ambassador and Mrs. Fujisaki visited NASAJohnsonSpaceCenter, where they met with Japanese Astronauts. In the evening, a reception with the leaders of Japan related organizations in Houston was held at the residence of Consul-General Osawa. The Ambassador and Mrs. Fujisaki participated in this reception and they exchanged views on strengthening networks with each other.

On Oct 2nd, the Ambassador and Mrs. Fujisaki paid a courtesy call on former Secretary of State James Baker. Then they traveled to College Station to deliver a lecture at TexasA&MUniversity. In his lecture, Ambassador Fujisaki mainly talked about topics such as the current Japan U.S. relations, economic and environmental policies under the new Japanese government.

On Oct 3rd, the Ambassador and Mrs.Fujisaki visited Dallas, and met with members of the JapanAmerica Society of Dallas/Fort Worth and Dallas Japanese Association.
