3rd Delegation of the Kizuna Project will visit 3 schools in Texas in January, 2013In October 2012, the Japanese Government launched a youth exchange program named the “Kizuna Project” in the United States with the aim of promoting understanding of Japan’s effort to recover from the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. The 3rd delegation of the Kizuna Project will visit the U.S. from January 8 to 18, 2013. As part of this program, students from Tohoku area schools (Miyagi Suisan High School, Tsukuba International University Harukaze High School, and Iwate Tono Ryokuho High School) will visit three schools in Texas (the Woodlands High School, Churchill High School, and James Madison High School) from January 12-15, 2013. When the first delegation was sent in October, 24 students of Seiwa Gakuen High School of Sendai visited Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma from October 13 -16, 2012.
