His Majesty Emperor Akihito will turn 79 on December 23. The Consulate-General held the reception on December 11 and, together with a number of attendants from various parts of Texas and Oklahoma, celebrated the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor (link to remarks by Consul-General Yamamoto). This occasion witnessed the Exhibition of Japan Brands which demonstrated Japan’s cutting edge technologies & systems always standing with the local communities in the States. This Exhibit was made possible thanks to Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc., Central Japan Railway Company, and Toshiba International Corporation.
