Senior Advisor to the State of Texas Naoko Shirane, recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette in Spring 2013, passed away in Tokyo on June 18, 2013. We deeply appreciate her outstanding contributions to the Japan-Texas relations over many years and express our sincere condolences.
