On July 12th, State Minister Midori Matsushima and Consul General Nozomu Takaoka visited the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center where, since May 2006, the innovative and extremely precise form of proton therapy is practiced through the use of the Hitachi Proton Beam Therapy System PROBEAT. The procedure attracts patients from many countries who require this advanced therapy. State Minister Midori Matsushima also had an opportunity to exchange views regarding the economic situation in US (including Texas) with Japanese businessmen based in Houston.
