On August 14, Consul-General Nozomu Takaoka met with the Honorable Harry LaRosiliere, Mayor of the City of Plano. Consul-General Takaoka expressed his wish for the continued strengthening of ties between Japan and the City of Plano, following the announcement of Toyota’s North America headquarters’ transfer to Plano. Mayor LaRosiliere touted the attractiveness of the city and expressed his willingness to accept both the Toyota headquarters as well as more Japanese people moving to Plano.
