On September 17, a reception to support Japanese programs at Asia Society Texas Center was hosted by Cole Chemical Inc. President Donna Cole, Sushic USA Inc. President and CEO Glen Gondo, Satake USA President Junjiro Naoki, and Mistubishi Corporation (Americas) Managing Director Tadashi Takasugi.
Asia Society will organize the programs to feature the art and performance of Japanese artists such as Noh masks of the excellent Bidou Yamaguchi, the music of renowned composer and koto virtuoso Yumi Kurosawa, and the original blend of contemporary and traditional Kabuki choreography from the Houston Ballet’s very own Nao Kusuzaki.
In his speech, Consul General Nozomu Takaoka thanked the hosts as well as Vice Chairman of Asia Society Texas Center Eddie Allen and Executive Director Bonna Kol present and expressed his hope that the programs will be enjoyed by Houston citizens. |
