From September 24 to 26, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings visited Japan and met with Vice Minister Yasuhide Nakayama. Vice Minister Nakayama welcomed Mayor Rawlings’ visit to Japan and thanked his support for Great East Japan Earthquake from the city of Dallas, the sister-city of Sendai.
Mayor Rawlings expressed his willingness to promote the relationship with Japan in the area of business and culture and favorably referred to Texas High Speed Railway Plan between Dallas and Houston, in which Japan Central Railway is involved.
