Consul-General Takaoka Gives Speech at Fort Worth Japanese Society (May 17, 2015)
On May 17th Consul-General Takaoka gave a speech at the Fort Worth Japanese Society. Japanese Society President Harvey Yamagata was in attendance along with around 40 of its members. Consul-General Takaoka spoke on a number of topics including Prime Minister Abe’s recent address to the United States Congress during his visit to the U.S., and the current state of relations between Japan and America. Many of those in attendance commented that it was a timely subject they were greatly interested to hear about. Before the speech, the Japanese Drum group DondoKo Taiko gave a stirring performance.
