State Minister Yasuhide Nakayama visited Texas for two days this August. On August 19th, he visited National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg and enjoyed a friendly and useful exchange of views with Former Commandant of the Marine Corps General Michael Hagee; President and CEO of Admiral Nimitz Foundation, which manages and provides a financial support to the museum; and Museum Director Joe Cavanaugh.
The next day, State Minister Nakayama visited Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas Inc. in San Antonio. He was briefed about the company’s contribution to the local economy and community including 6,000 jobs created by the company and its on-site suppliers, and volunteer activities in the region during the three-month shutdown in 2009. State Minister Nakayama also enjoyed viewing the production site for both the Toyota Tundra and Takoma pickup trucks. |
