The grand opening ceremony of TMEIC (September 28, 2015)

On September 28 Deputy Consul-General Iwasaki attended the grand opening ceremony of TMEIC (Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Cooperation) Power Electronics Products Corporation in Houston. There were approximately 150 people at the ceremony including Mr. Richard Ryan, Director of Houston U.S. Export Assistant Center, U.S. Department of Commerce, Mr. Jack Cagle, Commissioner of Harris County Precinct 4,  Mr. Yukihito Honda, 1st Vice-President of Japan Business Association of Houston, and Mr. Kiyotaka Machida, President and CEO of TMEIC.

TMEIC Power Electronics Products Corporation is an overseas affiliated company of TMEIC in Japan, which produces power electronics, featuring power converter for solar power generating system and drive systems for operating motor in various industries, such as oil & gas production. Its cutting edge technologies are appreciated in the U.S. and it is expected to contribute to developing the energy industry and improving the environment in the U.S.
