The Consulate-General of Japan at Houston is excited to unveil the latest cultural event: a bento-making photo contest! Please help us get the word out about this wonderful new contest!
The contest celebrates Japan’s most creative lunchbox: the bento! Five finalists will be chosen for the best of five different criteria: Most Traditional; Most Healthy; Most Creative; Most Delicious; and Most Comical.
Submissions must contain 1) photo of the bento lunch box, 2) a photo of the contestant with the bento, and 3) a list of ingredients.
Submissions must be sent to houstonbentocontest@gmail.com
Anyone can send in submissions and all entries will receive a Japanese Prize.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, February 16th, 2012.
A final battle of the best local* entries will take place in Houston, at Rice Epicurean Market, Briargrove on Saturday, February 25th, 2012.
