American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) offered the Dixy Lee Ray Award to His Excellency the former Minister of State, Mr. Goshi Hosono, current Policy Research Committee Chair of the Democratic Party, for his distinguished leadership in responding to the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident. The Honors Assembly was held at Hilton America at Houston on November 12th. Consul Shinya Iwata attended this occasion on behalf of Minister Hosono and made the remarks.
