School Visit Program

Members of the Consulate-General of Japan are available to come to your school to give a presentation on Japan and Japanese culture. The presentation can be tailored to meet your class lessons or your students’ interests. Typically, two or three staff members will visit a school and teach the students about contemporary Japanese life, such as the school system, lifestyles, etc. with the use of visual aids such as maps, photos and videos. Following the presentation, arrangements can be made to do short cultural activities such as origami, calligraphy, storytelling, etc.

To request a school visit, please call 713-652-2977x2115 or download following PDF application and FAX it 713-651-7822. This service is only available to schools in the Houston area.
