Consul General Murabayashi meets with Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher

　　　　On May 4, Consul General Murabayashi met with Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher, U.S. House Representative for Texas' 7th Congressional District. At the meeting, Consul General Murabayashi spoke with her about the rapidly increasing number of Japanese companies in Texas in recent years, and explained the Statement of Mutual Cooperation (SMC) between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the State of Texas, which was signed in January this year. Congresswoman Fletcher stressed the importance of diversity in Texas and Houston to their society and economy, and expressed her wish that Japanese companies in Texas will make good use of this diversity in their businesses.
