On August 13, Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. (Daikin) announced a three-year partnership with the City of Houston that will equip homes with advanced cooling and heating units to ensure comfort for members of the community, including many seniors. Houston Mayor John Whitmire expressed his appreciation for the Daikin initiative and declared August 13, 2024 as “Daikin Air Conditioning Appreciation Day.”
