On August 21, Consul General Naganuma visited and exchanged opinions with Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt.
Consul General Naganuma congratulated Oklahoma City for being selected to host the canoe slalom and softball events for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and expressed hope that this would further promote exchange between Japan and Oklahoma in the field of sports.
Consul General Naganuma and Mayor Holt also discussed the protection of Japanese nationals during emergencies and ways to further develop economic ties between Japan and Oklahoma City.
