On September 7th, Consul-General Mr. Fukushima paid a courtesy call on Honorable Mayor of Houston, Mr. Sylvester Turner.
Mr. Fukushima explained the latest activity of the Japanese residents and companies and their contribution to the local community.
Mr. Turner appreciated the activity by the Japanese companies as well as the progress of high speed railway project, while Houston has cultural and human exchanges such as the Japanese garden in Hermann Park, Sister City relationship with Chiba City. Both agreed to keep collaboration in strengthening the relationship.
Mr. Hirai, a representative of JETRO office in Houston also joined this meeting.
