Consul-General Fukushima paid his courtesy calls on Plano Mayor and Irving Mayor as well as the Texas House of Representatives



On October 11th and 12th, Mr. Hideo Fukushima, Consul-General of Japan in Houston, paid his courtesy calls on Hon. Harry A. LaRosiliere, Mayor of the City of Plano, and Hon. Rick Stopher, Mayor of the City of Irving, respectively, As Plano and Irving are two of the cities consisting of a regional district known as North Texas where the number of Japanese businesses has significantly increased in recent years, CG Fukushima reaffirmed with each of the mayors, his commitment to cooperating further to strengthen Japan- North Texas relationship.
On October 12th, Mr. Hideo Fukushima, Consul-General of Japan in Houston met with Hon. Angie Chen Button, a member of the Texas House of Representatives (District 112, North of Dallas). During the meeting, CG Fukushima emphasized that Texas’s business-friendly climate has led to a recent boost in the number of Japanese businesses investing in the region, while Hon. Button expressed her gratitude for Japan’s contributions to Texas.
