Consul-General Fukushima attended an annual Autumn Festival in San Antonio (November 24-25, 2018)

Consul-General Fukushima attended an annual Autumn Festival known as "Akimatsuri" which is hosted by Japan America Society of San Antonio on 24-25 November.
San Antonio locates in the middle southern part of Texas and it has historically international background of three hundred years since the governance of Spain. It is rich in economy, education and tourism and the Battle of Alamo to fight for the independence of Texas is also well known.
It has thirty years of sister city relationship with Kumamoto city of Japan and some of Japanese factories have already begun their businesses there.
At this Akimatsuri ceremony, Mayor Nirenberg expressed the importance of the relationship with Japan. Many local people has enjoyed Japanese food, traditional/modern culture under the mild autumn weather.
