Consul-General Fukushima paid a courtesy call to Texas Secretary of State David Whitley (March 28, 2019)

On March 28^th, Consul-General Fukushima paid a courtesy call to Secretary of State David Whitley of the Texas State Government in Austin. Both men expressed recognition that the relationship between Japan and Texas has thrived in recent years, as exemplified by the remarkable investment Japanese companies have made in the state. They agreed that relations have been greatly enhanced across a wide variety of fields including the economic, cultural, and interpersonal, and expressed a shared belief that the relationship can be further advanced by building closer ties between Japanese officials and the state’s political and business communities. Together, they affirmed the importance of such undertakings for this mutually beneficial relationship.
