Consul-General Fukushima attended a lecture by JAXA Astronaut Kimiya Yui (September 14, 2019)

On September 14th, Consul-General Fukushima attended a lecture by JAXA Astronaut Kimiya Yui at the Japanese Language Supplementary School of Houston (JLSSH), held primarily for its students.
The lecture was made possible with the support of the Japanese Business Association of Houston, and it allowed students of JLSSH to speak directly with Astronaut Yui about the wonders of working in space, including the experience of working aboard the International Space Station.
The students were very receptive to Astronaut Yui, as he spoke to them with humor and warmth about his own interesting experiences and the importance of following one’s dreams.
Some of the students said they too would like to go to space someday. Surely, there is at least one future astronaut among this group!
