The Consulate has officers and local staff that handle a variety of fields.

Visas, Passports and Citizenship

Issues visas to Japan and Japanese Passports. Certifies Japanese Citizenship and marriage documents.

Economic Affairs

Studies the region's economics.

Political Affairs

Studies the region’s political affairs and their impact on US/Japan relations.

Cultural Affairs

Educates the public on Japan and organizes Japan related events. Visits local schools and groups to conduct cultural awareness. Works with scholarship programs and exchanges programs.

Information Section

Disseminates information to the public about Japan and its polices, including travel information and regulations, history and traditions.
