On December 4, Consul General Murabayashi and his wife attended the Christmas tree lighting event in Houston and greeted Mayor Sylvester Turner. Mayor Turner expressed his strong desire to visit Chiba City in 2022, the 50th anniversary of our sister city relationship.

Before leaving for Houston, Consul General Murabayashi visited Chiba City, where he greeted Chiba City Mayor KAMIYA Shunichi and Chiba Prefectural Governor KUMAGAI Toshihito, who served as mayor until this spring, and exchanged views on the upcoming 50th anniversary of the sister city relationship with Houston.
