Visit to Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc.

On December 5th, Consul General Naganuma visited Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc. in Norman, Oklahoma, where he received an overview of the company’s activities. He also toured the factory and observed the process of assembling, testing, and shipping products. The company’s factory was equipped with the latest technology, including transport robots to ease demands on staff and an image recognition system to reduce assembly errors.
Consul General Naganuma expressed his appreciation to the company for creating approximately 230 jobs in the city of Norman, for drawing the majority of the facility’s electricity from renewable sources, and for its continued efforts to build a sustainable society. He also expressed his hope that the company will continue to make such contributions.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Houston will continue to support the activities of Japanese companies in Oklahoma.
