Conferment Ceremony of a Japanese Imperial Decoration for Mr. Randy William Bass

On July 18, a conferment ceremony of the Japanese Imperial Decoration was held at the official residence of the Consul General for Mr. Randy William Bass, Former Member of the Oklahoma State Senate, Former Goodwill Ambassador of Oklahoma State to Japan, Former Professional Baseball Player of the Hanshin Tigers. Mr. Bass was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, as announced on April 29, in recognition of his distinguished contributions to promoting friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.
Consul General Naganuma congratulated Mr. Bass and his family, and presented him with the decoration certificate and the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. At the ceremony, Governor Stitt of Oklahoma also presented Mr. Bass with a congratulatory message.
Mr. Bass expressed his sincere gratitude. Many fans also attended the ceremony, sharing in the recipient's joy at receiving the award.
