Discussion with Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker

On July 22, Consul-General Naganuma visited Mayor Mattie Parker of Fort Worth. He extended his congratulations on her May reelection, and they exchanged views on economic relations between Japan and Fort Worth, the sister city relationship with Nagaoka City, and the Japanese Garden at Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Additionally, they discussed the increase of Japanese companies and residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, and the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure general safety, as well as close coordination in the event of an emergency.
