Attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Vinton Steel LLC

On August 25, 2025, Consul General Naganuma visited El Paso County to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Vinton Steel LLC, the U.S. headquarters of Kyoei Steel Co., Ltd.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of construction on Vinton Steel’s new factory in El Paso County. Approximately 200 people were in attendance, including Texas state officials, local government leaders, representatives from affiliated companies, and Director Shimada of the JETRO Houston Office. Distinguished guests, including El Paso County Judge Ricardo A. Samaniego, Vinton Mayor Rachel M. Quintana, El Paso Mayor Renard U. Johnson, and Consul General Naganuma, praised Vinton Steel's contributions to the local community and expressed their hopes for the company's continued growth.
In recognition of the ceremony, Governor Abbott of Texas issued an official statement welcoming Vinton Steel's investment and expressing congratulations for the groundbreaking. This letter of appreciation was introduced by Mr. Larry McManus, Director of Business & Community Development of the State of Texas.
