Visit to Rigaku Americas Holding

On September 15, Consul General Naganuma visited Rigaku Americas Holdings in The Woodlands, north of Houston. He received an overview of the company's operations from Mr. Kawakami, President and CEO of Rigaku Holdings Corporation, Mr. Heath, CEO and other executives of Rigaku Americas Holding. He also viewed X-ray diffraction equipment (used to analyze the type and condition of materials) and X-ray fluorescence equipment (used to calculate the amount or concentration of elements present in a sample), which are utilized in a range of industries including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
Consul-General Naganuma commended Rigaku for its significant contributions not only to enhancing productivity and quality control across various industries but also to advancing research at universities and institutes by providing a diverse range of high-precision analytical instruments in the US. He expressed hope for the company's continued contributions.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Houston will continue to support the activities of Japanese companies in Texas.
