Mayor Jim Ross of Arlington City and Consul-General Koyama
On April 16, Consul-General Koyama, who had assumed his duties on April 10, visited Arlington Mayor Jim Ross to introduce himself in his new capacity and discuss ways to strengthen ties between the city and Japan.
Mayor Ross emphasized the importance he places on partnership and exchange with Japan, sharing his recent visit to Japan (Osaka and Tokyo). He also expressed his commitment to supporting the activities of Japanese businesses and ensuring the safety and security of Japanese nationals residing in or visiting the city, notably in the lead-up to and during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Consulate-General will continue to contribute to the further development of economic and friendly relations between Japan and the State of Texas.
