Mayor John Muns of Plano City and Consul-General Koyama
On April 16, Consul-General Koyama visited Mayor John Muns of Plano City to introduce himself in his new capacity and discuss ways to strengthen ties between the city and Japan.
Mayor Muns of Plano mentioned that on his latest visit to Japan, he held exchanges of views with Japanese firms with operations in Plano in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, and Toyota, and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the activities of Japanese businesses going forward. In addition, it was agreed that, in the event of an emergency, the city would maintain close communication and coordination with the Consulate-General to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals.
The Consulate-General will continue to contribute to the further development of economic and friendly relations between Japan and the State of Texas.
