Consul General Koyama Attends Japan-Texas Economic Summit

From May 11 to 13, Consul-General Koyama had a brief informal talk with Ambassador Yamada, attended the Japan-Texas Economic Summit, which was hosted in Arlington by the U.S.-Japan Council.

The summit brought together over 500 business and government officials from Japan and Texas, including Governor Hideaki Omura of Aichi Prefecture, Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives Dustin Burrows, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson, and Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai.

On May 12, Consul-General Koyama had a brief informal talk with Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson, who was attending the summit. They exchanged views on economic relations and people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Texas.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Houston will continue to contribute to the development of economic and friendly relations between Japan and Texas.
