Housekeeper for the Consul-General’s Residence
The Consulate-General of Japan in Houston is seeking to hire a housekeeper for the Consul-General’s Residence as outlined below.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Employment: Full time (Probationary period: 3 months)
Working hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (meal break 12:30 pm –1:30 pm), Monday – Friday
*May be asked to work overtime for official events at the Consul-General’s residence

(3) Holidays (City of Houston and U.S. federal holidays, and some Japanese national holidays)
- General cleaning of the residence and the grounds
- Laundry and ironing
- Provide support for official events (dinners, receptions, etc.) at the residence
- Other duties at the residence as required
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work full time (5 days a week from Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
- Strong English language skills
- Experience working in similar environments preferred but not required
- A strong sense of responsibility for the job
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment
