Remarks from Consul-General Koyama
On September 15, Consul-General Koyama attended the opening ceremony for TMEIC’s new Twinwood factory.
The ceremony was attended by Judge Carbett J. Duhon III (Twinwood County Judge), Mr. Steve Kean (President and CEO of Greater Houston Partnership), Mr. Akira Kawaguchi (President of TMEIC), and others.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Consul-General Koyama stated that TMEIC, based in the Houston area, has, with the launch of its new plant, further expanded and strengthened its business activities meeting the needs of the U.S. economy, including data centers and the oil and gas industry, while also contributing to the local community, and that it is a good example of the Japan-Texas partnership.
The Consulate General of Japan in Houston will continue to actively support Japanese companies.
