On September 2, Consul-General Koyama attended a business networking reception co-hosted by JETRO and the City of Plano, Texas, as part of JETRO’s Texas Data Center Mission.
The event brought together approximately 30 Japanese companies participating in the JETRO Mission, as well as Japanese and American businesses from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and representatives of the City of Plano. Participants engaged in networking and the exchange of information and views.
In recent years, investment in Texas has been on the rise in fields related to cutting-edge industries, particularly data centers , which Japanese companies view as an important area for business expansion. This JETRO Mission and networking reception provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding between Japanese and American business communities and to further strengthen the economic relationship between Japan and Texas.
