Cultural Items

  The Consulate-General of Japan maintains a collection of cultural items that are available for loan to educators and organizations. To browse our collection, consult the PDF catalog.  Please submit completed Cultural Item Request Forms or questions about our collection to info@ho.mofa.go.jp .


Please note the terms of our lending policy:
1. All Cultural Items must be picked up in person at the Consulate. Under special circumstances, we may be able to send the items at your own expense.
2. Items must be returned to the Consulate-General of Japan within two weeks (or by agreed upon date).
3. If shipped by mail, each item must be registered with the U.S. Postal Service or returned by Priority Mail, Federal Express or other registered shipping service.
4. All clothing items must be professionally laundered or dry cleaned (depending on the fabric) at the borrower’s expense in time to return by the agreed upon date.
5. THE BORROWER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGES TO MATERIALS.
